Big Apple Coaching LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates The Grove — Community Classes & Workshops and the website thegrovenyc.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our Site, register for classes, or otherwise interact with us.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Big Apple Coaching LLC is not a healthcare provider and is not subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We do not collect or maintain protected health information.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly: There are no forms on this Site. You reach us by email, and you register for a class either through a payment link or by writing to us. When you do, we collect your name, your email address, the class and month you are registering for, and anything else you choose to tell us — a phone number, an accommodation you need, a question about the material.
Payments:Payments are processed by Stripe. When you register for a class, your payment details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive only your name, your email address, what you paid for, and the amount.
Information collected automatically: We do not run analytics on this Site, and the Site sets no cookies of its own. Our web host keeps standard server logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. The Site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Register you for classes and process payments
- Communicate with you about class schedules, updates, and changes
- Provide attendance documentation and receipts for billing and reimbursement purposes
- Respond to your inquiries and requests
- Improve our Site and class offerings
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not send marketing email, we do not run an email newsletter, and we do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Newsletter and Marketing Email
We no longer operate a newsletter or any kind of email marketing. The signup form and the automated email series that went with it were retired in 2026. Nothing on this Site adds you to a mailing list.
A subscriber list from before that retirement still exists, so that the unsubscribe links in emails we sent previously keep working. If you are on that list and want to be removed, use the link in any past email or write to hello@thegrovenyc.org and we will delete your record.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Payment processing:We share payment information with Stripe to process transactions. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.

Registration records and attendance documentation are retained for a minimum of six (6) years for compliance and record-keeping purposes.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@thegrovenyc.org. We will respond to your request within thirty (30) days. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for record-keeping, compliance, or billing purposes even after a deletion request.
Cookies
This Site does not set cookies and does not use tracking, advertising, or profiling technologies. If you pay for a class, Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout pages; those are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy, not this one.

Children's Privacy
